Letters to Mohome - Danielle Quaye

Dear MoHome,

Hey! My name is Danielle Quaye, and I’m a second-semester junior majoring in computer science. This semester, I’ve embarked on an exciting journey abroad, studying at AIT-Budapest in Hungary!

From the moment I arrived, I’ve been diving headfirst into the culture and trying out as many new experiences as I can, all the while exploring the city’s history in my ”Budapest Studies” class and picking up Hungarian words like köszönöm (thank you), szia (hello/goodbye), and bocsánat (sorry). Little gestures that go a long way in connecting with the amazing people here.

Another class that has left a big impression on me is ”Leadership and Entrepreneurship Studies,” where I’m learning about the qualities of successful entrepreneurs and the challenges they face. It’s been incredibly inspiring!

I’ve been equally captivated by the warmth and kindness of the people in Budapest. Beyond the classroom, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to other parts of Europe, making it a priority to go on guided tours to learn about the history and current realities of each place I visit.

I’m excited to keep exploring new cities, towns and countries, soaking up all the knowledge and memories I can. This journey has been unforgettable, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
