Updates to the spring semester guest policy were sent to the Mount Holyoke community on Feb. 18. Due to the College now operating at a Level One status in regards to COVID-19, guests are now allowed on weekends as of Feb. 25. From Fridays at 10 a.m. to Sundays at 10 p.m., students are allowed to have one guest visit. Overnight guests are allowed.

The College website labels guests as “anyone who is not an actively registered Mount Holyoke student.”

All guests must register prior to visiting and must check in at the Blanchard Info desk on Friday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., Saturday between 12-10 p.m. or Sunday between 12-5 p.m. In order to visit, guests must show proof of full vaccination along with a negative COVID-19 test taken 48-72 hours before they arrive.

Upon check-in, they will be given a wristband that is color-coordinated to signify what hall they will be staying at, as well as the dates that they are approved to stay. Guests are only allowed in the residence hall where the person they are visiting lives, the dining hall, the lower level of Blanchard and specific parts of the library. Other locations not listed are closed to guests and remain open only for members of the community. If the guest or student violates any of these rules, the student will lose guest privileges in the future.

The updated guest policy will not be in effect during spring break or the following week.
