Mount Holyoke Lacrosse opens 2024 season against Simmons University
The Mount Holyoke College Lacrosse Team officially kick-started their season with a home game against Simmons University on Feb. 24. Linnea Alsted ’27, Teya Broad-Wright ’27, Mackenzie Hillman ’27 and Syd Baker ’27 made their collegiate lacrosse debut with the season opener. Mount Holyoke started with a 3-1 lead at the beginning of the second quarter, but ultimately, Simmons caught up and prevailed with a final score of 17-4.

This edition’s team of the week is Mount Holyoke Lacrosse. The team is led by Head Coach Miriam Esber, now entering her 14th season in the position, and Assistant Coach Liz Kemp. Previously, Lacrosse ended after only four games in their 2019-2020 season. The final close was a fifth game at home against Smith College.
