Mount Holyoke’s varsity rowing team opens spring season at Lake Quinsigamond
The Mount Holyoke College Rowing team opened their spring season in Lake Quinsigamond on April 13, 2024. The competition was hosted by Clark University in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, with the regatta consisting of Mount Holyoke, Washington College, Connecticut College, Simmons University, University of Rochester, Williams College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Clark University.

Mount Holyoke Lacrosse opens 2024 season against Simmons University
The Mount Holyoke College Lacrosse Team officially kick-started their season with a home game against Simmons University on Feb. 24. Linnea Alsted ’27, Teya Broad-Wright ’27, Mackenzie Hillman ’27 and Syd Baker ’27 made their collegiate lacrosse debut with the season opener. Mount Holyoke started with a 3-1 lead at the beginning of the second quarter, but ultimately, Simmons caught up and prevailed with a final score of 17-4.

Lyons soccer play WPI Engineers in their final game of the season
Mount Holyoke College Soccer finished up their fall season on Saturday, Oct. 28, in a home game against Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Although the Lyons fell to the Engineers 3-0, they played hard. Goalie Shan Breen ’24 made two saves in the first half, and goalie Evie Krieg ’27 made five saves in the second half.

Game of the Week: Mount Holyoke Riding wins Williams College Show
Mount Holyoke College Riding competed at the Williams College Show at Bonnie Lea Farm on Saturday, Oct. 14, placing ahead of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Springfield College, Amherst College, Williams College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Bennington College. The Lyons came in first place with 47 points, an 18-point advantage over UMass Amherst, who placed second with 29 points.
